Essential points from our protection concept

The health of our visitors is important to us. And that's why we have developed a protection concept for our festival. You can find the full version of it here (in German). And here we summarize the most important points for you.

As a festival, we adhere to the overriding protective measures of the BAG, which have been in force since April 19th 2021. Furthermore, we adhere to the recommendations of the protection concepts from Schweizerischer Bühnenverband and t. Theaterschaffende Schweiz. 

General mask mandatory

For visitors and employees of the festival, a general mask mandatory applies in all indoor areas - before, during and after the performances. If necessary, we will provide masks on site. The theatre cannot be entered without a mask.

Keep your distance

It is mandatory for the audience to sit during the performances. The aua-team ensures that a distance of 1.5 meters is maintained between the spectators wherever possible or that a seat is left free.

Symptoms? Stay at home

Visitors with symptoms or discomfort are asked to stay at home or go home immediately.

No consumption & no bar

Consumption is prohibited on the entire festival site, including the venues and the festivalcentre on Waisenhausplatz. According to the current Federal Council decision, the foyer bars of the venues will remain closed.

No cloakroom

The audience is asked to take items of clothing, bags or umbrellas into the auditorium. There are no cloakrooms available until further notice.

Contact tracing

We work with the BuCK Corona Tool of the Bar and Club Commission of the City of Bern. This allows contact data to be collected for contact tracing in accordance with the guidelines of the Canton of Bern. When entering their contact details, our guests are to be informed that they will only be passed on if requested by the authorities if they are ill. The contact details are only documented electronically and are deleted after 14 days. It is best to register before your first visit to auawirleben via covtr.ap/admin, so that you have the QR code/token ready when you enter.

Artists are tested

The artists on stage are tested on Covid-19 before each performance. The presentation will of course only take place if all test results are negative.
